'Mad Men' Star January Jones' Real-Life Hit-and-Run Drama

Mad Men actress January Jones is the latest celebrity to be involved in yet another paparazzi chase gone awry. While, thankfully, no one on the scene was hurt in the incident, TMZ.com is reporting that Jones, 32, "slammed into three parked cars and left the scene."

The LAPD told TMZ that Jones was driving home at 9 p.m. on Thursday night after having left The London West Hollywood Hotel when she allegedly lost control of her car, striking three other cars and causing some significant damage. An eyewitness was reported as hearing Jones say at the scene, "I can't deal with this commotion."

Jones told police that paparazzi had been chasing her at the time of the crash and they had been harassing her so badly that she left her license and walked a half a block to her home to call 911.  A dispatcher told the actress that cops had just arrived on the scene so she then returned.

According to the police report, Jones was not administered a field sobriety test, as there was no trace of alcohol. The actress was neither cited nor arrested, but the police have apparently launched an investigation (but not as a hit-and-run investigation.)
