Long before Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt had as many kids as the Brady Bunch -- before they had even met, for that matter -- the actress was the proud single mom to son Maddox, whom she adopted during a U.N. trip to Cambodia in November 2001. “There were about 14 kids in the orphanage, and he was the last child I saw," she told Reader's Digest. "They put him in my arms, and he was still asleep. Then they put him in a bath, and he stayed asleep. Then I sat with him and he opened his eyes and just stared at me for the longest time. Then he smiled.”
