Madonna Plays House in New Ads

Back in September, on the night before David Letterman's workplace-romance drama unfolded, Madonna told the Late Show host that she would sooner die than marry again.

Apparently, that didn't mean she woudn't be a housewife. Case in point: Madonna's new sexy-domestic look in the latest Dolce & Gabbana ad campaign.

The lush black-and-white photo series captures Madge in  mundane domestic settings: doing dishes, eating pasta with her fingers as she perches on a kitchen counter, and chopping vegetables while seated at a cluttered breakfast table--all while wearing low-cut D&G couture.

As you'll see on People's StyleWatch blog, not only does Madonna look wholly at home in the ads, she appears to be a little more curvaceous than in recent years.

According to the New York Daily News, the photos debut in the Italian edition of Vanity Fair this week, and will be everywhere starting in January.

The series was inspired by Italian "neorealism" cinema, and reportedly, Madonna was as thrilled to participate as Dolce and Gabbana were to snag her.

"To have Madonna in our campaign is a dream come true," designers Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana say in Italian Vanity Fair. "She loved the collection," added Gabbana. "She is passionate and impressively knowledgeable about Italian cinema."
