Madonna lay down an ultimatum for the attendees at her concert in Chile on Dec. 20: Stop smoking, or I'll stop singing. The 54-year-old was performing at an outdoor concert hall in Santiago and was offended when some concertgoers refused to put out their smokes.
"No smoking! Where are they smoking? If you're going to smoke cigarettes, I'm not going to do a show," she can be heard saying in the below TMZ exclusive video. "You don't care about me, I don't care about you."
Madge started getting really annoyed when one attendee refused to put out his cigarette. He apparently was looking right at her and ignoring her request, which caused her to get riled up.
"I'm not kidding. I can't sing if you smoke. Entiendes? If you love me, then don't smoke," she says.
The person still doesn't put out his cigarette, which causes Madonna to walk off the stage in this video. Fortunately it wasn't for long, though: The concert attendees stopped smoking and Madonna came back and performed many of her hit songs, including "Human Nature."
This isn't the first time Madonna has stopped up against smoking. Her 15-year-old daughter Lourdes was photographed puffing on a cigarette earlier this year, and Madonna took the blame upon herself.
"I think I am (a tough mom), but honestly I don't think I'm as tough as I should be. I think I need to be maybe tougher," she said. "Every day is a negotiation, but cigarette smoking I'm not very fond of for anyone. I don't approve of anyone smoking cigarettes, most of all my daughter."
