Make It: Easy, Stylish Baby Shower Centerpieces

When it comes to decorating for baby showers, remember that the party is for adults, so the decorations don’t need to be babyish! This easy, manzanita-based centerpiece is one of my favorite types of decor for baby showers. The style is pretty and grown-up, but the sweet pink and red palette and coordinating "Sugar and Spice" framed print remind us of baby’s impending arrival!

You'll need: Decorative vase; manzanita branch; flowers of your choice; floral wire; strands from a combo beaded/disc curtain; hanging votives; Sugar and Spice Baby print (download here); and a 5x7 frame.

Insert the manzanita branch into the vase, making sure the fit is snug. I used an 18-24” branch in this example. (Tip: For lightweight or tall vases like the one pictured here, it's a good idea to fill the vase with sand or water to help keep the arrangement from tipping.)

Add a few flowers to the top of the vase and use floral wire to secure additional flowers directly to the branch.

Cut strands from a beaded curtain at various lengths and drape them all around the branch. I used strands from a combo beaded/disc duo curtain here. (Tip: You can find several other curtain colors & styles at

One curtain rod goes a long way when it comes to decorating, so even if you make several arrangements, you should have plenty of strands leftover to utilize elsewhere in the party… create beaded napkin rings, decorate picture frames, and dress up other flower arrangements and décor!

For the final touches, use hanging glass votive holders as “mini vases” for additional flowers, embellish the main vase with decorative paper or ribbon, and print out and display the framed print next to the finished arrangement.
