Green Your Winter: 10 Ways to Be More Eco-Friendly this Season
Sure, rock-bottom temperatures may make the planet seem a little hostile at this time of year, but you can still show it some love with these simple green tips and tricks. You'll save lots of cash too!
Fill an old (but not smelly!) tube sock with flax seeds or a mixture of dry beans and rice. You can even throw in some dried lavender. Tie a knot at the base of the sock and reinforce it with some hand stitches. Then put the sock, knotted side first, inside the second one, so there's little risk of spillage. When you want to use it, microwave it in one-minute increments until it's warm to the touch, then place it under the covers at the foot of your bed. You'll be warm and cozy all night long!
