Sewing Kit in a Jar

"I forgot all about the little sewing jars I made for gifts. I used pieces of an old quilt as a pincushion in a canning jar lid. Inside the jar, I made matchbook-type needle keeps: I used printed cardstock to line the lid and make the matchbook. I glued two pieces [of cardstock] together and cut slits in it to hold thread. I put in buttons, safety pins and some iron-on hem tape." —kudzukween
