Lane and Kyle Carlson
Birthday: December 24, 1979
Where you've seen them: They're the infamous, All-American Abercrombie Twins -- with washboard abs we wouldn't mind rubbing our dirty laundry on; they posed seminude in the Spring 2001 A&F Quarterly.
Single, taken, looking? No doubling the pleasure here: Kyle has a girlfriend, but Lane is free.
Other talents: Need a handy man? How about two? The corn-fed Minnesota twins co-own a construction company with their father and spend summers working there (just in case the modeling thing doesn't work out).
How they got started: Lane and his then-girlfriend just happened to be at the mall during a model search. With a little coaxing, Lane's girlfriend convinced him to check it out. Agents went gaga over Lane, and when they found out he had a twin...well, let's just say the rest is A&F history.
Why they look so good: Between weight training 4-5 times a week and playing sports daily, it's no wonder the boys keep their Greek-godlike shapes.
Next: Travis Fimmel
Birthday: July 15, 1979
Where you've seen him: Been outside lately? Travis, the latest CK Adonis to make us sweat, brings a whole new meaning to the phrase "traffic-stopper"; his bare-chested billboard ads for Crave, Calvin Klein's latest fragrance, literally have caused motorists to swerve off the road.
Single, taken, looking? Single! But if you're lucky enough to score a date with this Aussie hunk, remember the stain protector! Travis's dream date has to pass a test: "I'd throw a piece of food at her in a restaurant to see what she'd do. I'd love it if she threw it back." Uh, I guess having food thrown at you would be a small price to pay for a date with such a hottie?
Other talents: Got milk? Travis milked a mean cow back on his family's farm in Australia. He makes use of this special animal connection in his acting debut as a modern day Tarzan in the WB's TV series Tarzan and Jane (2003).
How he got started: In need of cash to pay for acting lessons, a broke, barefoot Travis strolled into the L.A. Models office. The agents took one look and signed him on the spot.
Why he looks so good: Travis is one of those models who eats whatever he wants and does nothing but surf and swim to keep fit. (We should all be so lucky!)
Next: Boris Kodjoe
Birthday: March 8, 1973
Where you've seen him: His chiseled face has appeared in ads for Versace, Ralph Lauren, Yves Saint Laurent and the Gap.
Single, taken, looking? Sorry, ladies, but life imitates art; Boris's real-life love, Nicole Ari Parker, costarred with him in Brown Sugar (2002).
Other talents: This onetime German tennis pro drove women wild with his sexy roles as Damon in UPN's Soul Food (2000) and Kelby in Brown Sugar (2002).
How he got started: Boris was studying marketing at Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond when a Ford Modeling agent approached him. A few months later, Boris was the toast of the fashion world.
Why he looks so good: No tricks here. Boris keeps fit by lifting weights, doing Pilates and eating healthily.
Next: Jason Shaw
Birthday: November 4, 1974
Where you've seen him: Jason is Tommy Hilfiger's go-to guy, signing an exclusive contract with the designer in 2000.
Single, taken, looking? He not only has a girlfriend, he has a crazy ex-girlfriend. Once affianced to professional socialite Paris Hilton, Jason keeps mum on this current squeeze.
Other talents: Jason's caught the acting bug! You can catch him and his party-jumping Hilton ex in the upcoming flick The Hillz (2003).
How he got started: We can thank Jason's University of Chicago roommate for bringing this hottie to the world's attention. He was the one who introduced Jason to the fashion world and encouraged the history major to enter a modeling competition. Jason won the male portion, signed with Wilhelmina and can be seen in a Tommy ad near you.
Why he looks so good: Daily cardio and some light weight lifting is all this six-packed stud needs to keep looking good in his Tommy's.
Next: Will Lemay
Birthday: August 14, 1976
Where you've seen him: Working it for Sean Jean in print and on the catwalks.
Single, taken, looking? This jet-hopping cutie claims he doesn't have time for a girlfriend, but we're sure we can change his mind?
Other talents: Will knows a thing or two about dancing. Watch him shake his thing with Ashanti in her "What's Love" video.
How he got started: Will began like many an aspiring model -- by falling for a modeling-school scam. Undaunted, he moved to Toronto where he was spotted by a scout on the street and signed by a local agency. However, the city was too small for Will. He relocated to New York and was turned down by nearly every agency in town. Finally, Ford Modeling Agency signed this studly strutter, but he was still unable to find work. Will left Ford for Boss Models and has since become one of the highest-paid models (male or female) in the industry.
Why he looks so good: Will's regimen includes light weight lifting and daily cardio. Who knew looking this good could be so easy?
Next: Jason Lewis
Birthday: June 25, 1971
Where you've seen him: Strutting his stuff on the runway for Hugo Boss, Tommy Hilfiger and Ray Ban -- not to mention his GUESS? campaign that left us all in need of a cold shower.
Single, taken, looking? Jason and longtime love Maxine Bahns (Ed Burns's ex) have been dating since meeting on the set of indie action drama Elite (2000). They recently made it official, and wedding bells will ring for the happy couple in the near future.
Other talents: The plumber-turned-waiter-turned-model came full circle, playing Samantha's sexy food-serving boy toy Jerry Jerrod in the final season of Sex and the City.
How he got started: Jason hopped a plane to Paris at the suggestion of a model scout. Three months into his visa, Jason was tearing up the Paris runways.
Why he looks so good: Jason sticks with the basics: weights to stay cut, cardio to stay trim, and a balanced diet to stay energized.
