Maple Orange Glazed Sausage

The simple addition of syrup and orange juice gives these sausages a sweet, tangy glaze that goes very well with the paprika potato frittata. The kids can mix the maple syrup and orange juice for the glaze.

    Ingredients

    8 links turkey or pork sausage 2 tablespoons fresh orange juice
    2 tablespoons maple syrup

      In a large skillet, place the sausages and cover with water

      Cook the sausages over medium-high heat until all the water has evaporated, about 20 minutes

      Add 1 more cup of water and cook until it is evaporated

      Mix the syrup and orange together in a small bowl and pour into the skillet

      Reduce the heat to low and cook sausages, turning occasionally, until they become dark golden brown, about 5 minutes

      Remove and serve with the eggs.
