In an interview with ABC's Nightline Thursday night, Marc Anthony didn't just deny rumors of an affair with Jada Pinkett-Smith; he called them "laughable."
The Grammy-winning singer-actor, 42, told reporter John Quinones that while he couldn't pinpoint "what went wrong" in his marriage to Jennifer Lopez, he could confirm that an alleged tryst with his 39-year-old HawthoRNe costar Pinkett-Smith was a complete fabrication.
"When something like that happens, it's laughable. We were laughing, like 'Wow,'" Anthony said. "'Cause we've been friends for years. Jada, Jennifer, me, him, for years…" Watch a clip from the interview below!
Anthony added that what's been most difficult about the rumors, which Jada and her superstar husband Will Smith have also denied, is how they're impacting two entire families.
"What bothers me is the effect it has on family: To Will and Jada's circle, to their friends, their family, their loved ones," he said.
The adultery allegations were only strengthened when rumors of the Smiths' own marital demise began to surface in the press. The Hollywood power couple was forced to release a statement dismissing the "false" claims.
"Although we are reluctant to respond to these types of press reports, the rumors circulating about our relationship are completely false," the couple said in the statement. "We are still together, and our marriage is intact."
But Pinkett-Smith isn't the only person Anthony has been accused of having an affair with during his seven-year marriage to Lopez.
"It was a flight attendant, it was the pilot," Anthony said. "I heard it was this guy sitting next to me in a rehab in Houston. I've heard it all."
