Traditionally rich and filling, Mardi Gras meals are designed to use up the fat and sugar in one's cupboard before Lent, and, I wager, to sustain one's constitution during a day packed with festivities. Hosting your own Mardi Gras party? Here are four creative dishes that you might not necessarily find on a Mardi Gras menu. The Pretend Turtle Soup is a meal in itself.
