WATCH: Mariah Carey, Jimmy Fallon Belt Out "All I Want for Christmas Is You"

Mimi, Fallon and The Roots perform her Christmas classic on classroom instruments -- and we can't stop watching!

Warning: This video will put you in the holiday spirit -- immediately!

Some pop stars need high production values or voice enhancing software to make them sound good. Not Mariah Carey. Just give her Jimmy Fallon, The Roots, and a bunch of kiddie instruments.

Watch her make the magic happen with her beloved holiday hit "All I Want For Christmas," during last night's appearance on Late Night With Jimmy Fallon (NBC, weeknights at 12:35 p.m. ET):

No doubt Fallon is at his funniest when he's making goofy, home-style videos with his friends. (Remember this recurring SNL skit?) This musical number is set up as a casual, backstage gathering with his nearest and dearest. Carey steps into the fray just as he and the members of the Late Night band, The Roots, were launching into her signature Christmas jam. The forever-young Fallon and his musicians are, of course, playing the song on instruments you'd find at an elementary school. (How can you not love this guy?)

So Carey, in a floor-length, low cut, red gown, provides the vocals while The Roots accompany her on xylophone, tambourines, recorder, clacker, bongo drums and key melodica, with little kids as backup singers. And the iconic, multi-platinum-selling pop star plays right along, like toy bongos are just what she ordered.

Let's hope Carey stays this light-hearted come January, when she and her latest nemesis, Nicki Minaj, are critiquing singers on American Idol
