Mariah the Mama? Not so fast, baby-bump watchers! Mariah Carey's rep has told US Weekly that Mrs. Nick Cannon is "not pregnant", despite all the buzz about a recent photo of the Grammy winner.
Carey, 40, and Cannon, 29, her husband of nearly two years, have talked about starting a family in the past. In January, Cannon told MTV News, "We absolutely plan to have a family. But we gotta prioritize, because that's a major, major priority. That's like the only priority in life, when you think about it, is starting and raising a family. We wanna make sure everything is out of the way and that we don't have any distractions."
Carey shared the same sentiment when she stopped by to visit with Larry King on his show in November 2009. "I cannot do the having-a-child thing halfway," she said. "I wouldn't be just like, 'Oh, I'm having a child, yay! Let me get a nanny so I can give her the baby. Take the kid.' That doesn't work me. I don't believe in that."
