Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon are definitely not hurting for money, and they certainly know how to spend it. The couple held a lavish ceremony at Disneyland to celebrate their 5-year wedding anniversary which, honestly, was more extravagant than most people's actual weddings.
ET was on hand to witness the vows renewal and can attest to how insanely over-the-top the whole experience was. Carey, 43, and Cannon, 32, started off their day with a birthday party for their 2-year-old twins, Moroccan and Monroe, in the new Fantasy Faire section of Disneyland. In addition to the 150 guests who attended the prince and princess-themed party, the Disney Princesses and Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse also celebrated with the attendees.
Then it was time for the vow renewal. Carey got ready for the night in the exclusive Dream Suite and wore a "princess-inspired bridal gown." Then a horse-drawn Crystal Carriage escorted her and Monroe to Main Street, where they met Cannon and Roc. From there, the family of four walked down an aisle that led them to Sleeping Beauty Castle, where the ceremony was held. Obviously, the entire park was shut down for this event.
Cinderella's Royal Footman, Major Domo, was the Master of Ceremonies for the celebration, which was themed, "Do you believe in fairy tales." There were around 250 guests in attendance, with Roc and Monroe sitting in the front row. The vow renewal ended with fireworks -- a surprise treat for Carey.
If you think that sounds extreme, just wait until you hear about the vow renewal after-party. Guests were brought to a champagne toast DJ'ed by Cannon in the Fantasyland section of Disneyland. That area was decorated with -- wait for it -- "15,000 blooms imported from South Africa, Holland and France and 10,000 crystals." Since the park was shut down to the public, guests could ride the various Disneyland attractions without waiting in lines. The night ended with the couple returning to the Dream Suite.
Of course, Cannon and Carey are no strangers to extravagant celebrations of their love. Their Valentine's Day in 2013 was over-the-top, and in 2012 they celebrated their wedding anniversary at the Eiffel Tower in Paris.
