Carey, 42, admits she was so disgusted by her extra pregnancy pounds that she refused to let Cannon get too close a look at her -- and completely nude was completely out of the question.
"I had a towel on in the tub," Carey told Gayle King on Tuesday. "I'm not lying, I promise you! You think I would let Nick see me looking rancid like that?"
Since giving birth to Monroe and Morrocan on April 30, Carey has lost a staggering 70 pounds -- 40 from the immediate postpartum period and another 30 with the help of Jenny diet products, for which Carey is now a spokeswoman.
Although the multiple Grammy winner says she knew the pregnancy weight gain was out of her control, it was so upsetting for Carey, she insisted not to be told the exact number of pounds she'd gone up from prenatal check-up to check-up.
"I didn’t want to know, because why would I want to feel that bad?" she explained. "I know it was a number that I never want to see again."
The worst part, Carey adds, was not feeling her bones. "I had, like, no bones for a while," she gestured to her collarbone. "It's important to me to feel my bones!"
