Justin Bieber has already taken a paternity test to prove that he's not the father of Mariah Yeater's 3-month-old son. But although the results of that test have yet to be released, Yeater's ex-boyfriend is also sure that Biebs isn't the baby daddy.
Sources close to TMZ say that Yeater's ex Robbie Powell is so certain that he's the father of Mariah's son Tristyn that he wants to take a DNA test to prove it. Powell has reportedly been telling friends that he's fessing up now because "he's tired of Yeater using the kid for media attention." Powell believes Yeater, 20, made up the story of her alleged backstage tryst with Bieber as a publicity stunt because she's desperate for cash.
Earlier this month, Yeater allegedly tried to cover up proof that Tristyn is Powell's son. A friend provided TMZ with proof that Yeater had asked him to delete all text messages that prove her son isn't Bieber's.
This isn't the first time Yeater has tried to pin the blame on someone else. Another one of her ex-boyfriends, John Terranova, said that Yeater tried to say that Tristyn was his, despite the fact that all the facts disproved it. After Terranova denied the child was hit, Yeater started pointing her finger at Bieber.
Yeater claims that she and Bieber had sex backstage at one of his Los Angeles shows last year. She gave birth to Tristyn three months ago, making it a full nine months since Bieber's show took place.
"This information proves Mariah Yeater fabricated the story," the Canadian pop star's lawyer told TMZ after Yeater's text messages were made public. "Our independent investigation indicates Ms. Yeater never met Justin, she has consistently identified another man as the child's father, and Ms. Yeater and her co-conspirators hatched this scheme in order to extort money from him and to sell her story to the media."
