Mario Lopez Gets Some Extra Work
Dancing With the Stars has rejuvenated yet another career, as Mario Lopez has just scored himself a permanent gig as the new host of Extra.
Kicking current co-hosts Mark "Sugar Ray" McGrath and Dayna Devon to the curb, the former Saved By The Bell star will now be the one and only emcee of the entertainment news show, when it goes into its 15th season in September.
"He will be a fresh and dynamic presence, and we can't wait for him to assume his new role," said Extra's senior exec producer Lisa Gregorish-Dempsey.
Ugh -- I'm already so sick of the Cheater Peter -- Broadway, that dance show on MTV, the Miss America Pageant. Stop the A.C. Slater madness, people!
