Mark Wahlberg stars in the No. 1 movie in the country with Will Ferrell, The Other Guys, he's producer of a hit TV series (HBO's Entourage), and he even has a star on Hollywood's Walk of Fame. But according to him, his daughter is still not impressed.
"Actually, I'll take that back," he added. "If Justin Bieber asked me, I'd do that for my daughter. She loves me to death, but she doesn't think I'm very cool, so that might turn it around."
Wahlberg, of course, left his "Good Vibrations" days behind when he set down the mic forever and launched his unlikely, but unquestionably successful, movie career. Looking back on his decision to retire his rap persona, he says, "When I decided to go into acting, I definitely wanted to make people forget about my music career."
So will Wahlberg, 39, actually come full circle and make a hip-hop comeback by going into the studio with 16-year-old Bieber? If the pop phenom (who just won four Teen Choice awards) has anything to do with it, yes. The singer tweeted: "Mark let's make that rap song soon." We can practically hear Wahlberg's daughters squealing at the idea.
