In a plot that reads like one of the Olsen twins' direct-to-video movies, 25-year-old Mary-Kate Olsen is reportedly dating Olivier Sarkozy, the 42-year-old half-brother of former French president Nicolas Sarkozy.
The New York Post claims that the former actress/current fashion mogul has been dating Sarkozy, the managing director of global asset management firm the Carlyle Group have been dating for about a month and are "head over heels" for one another.
The pair has been spotted together several times in New York City recently, including at an April 25 New York Knicks game (where they were photographed) and in the Hamptons over Memorial Day weekend.
If the report is true, this would first relationship for Olsen since she split from her artist boyfriend Nate Lowman more than two years ago. Sarkozy previously dated poet and actress Stella Schnabel.
The 17 year age difference between Olsen and Sarkozy is a bit shocking, but if he makes Mary-Kate happy, that's all that matters.
If it seems like Mary-Kate and her twin sister Ashley have grown up a lot since their days on Full House and in a slew of Mary-Kate and Ashley movies, they agree. 2010 interview with Marie Claire, Olsen opened up about her trying childhood in front of the camera.
"I look at old photos of me, and I don't feel connected to them at all," she told Marie Claire in 2010. "I would never wish my upbringing on anyone... but I wouldn't take it back for the world."
Mary-Kate and Ashley, who announced in March that they're both done with acting, have been concentrating their professional efforts on their successful clothing company The Row.
