chime in nowA first in American Idol history, the judges introduced “the save” for the final thirteen contestants. This meant that even after a contestant got the least amount of votes, the judges could save them from elimination. The next week, however, two singers would go home. After getting voted off, Matt Giraud received the one and only save from the judges. Sadly, he went home two weeks later.
