Maureen O'Hara as Doris Walker in 'Miracle on 34th Street'

In a cynical world, sometimes it's hard to let your kids believe in magic. That's the dilemma faced by Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade director Doris (Maureen O'Hara) in this 1947 holiday favorite, when her daughter Susan (9-year-old Natalie Wood) asks if the department store's Santa is real. Doris doesn't believe her employee is actually Santa, but when she realizes how much it means to her little girl, she tells Susan that "Kris Kringle" is the real deal -- and that's when the miracles start to happen.
