Even though McDonald's has outperformed the competition for years, the fast food giant is facing new challenges in recent times (blame the recession, among other things), and is making a change it hopes will boost sales -- totally revamping it's famous Dollar Menu.
The company has plans to introduce some $2 and $5 selections on the menu, which currently offers classics for, yup, just a buck. The new menu -- to be called the "Dollar Menu and More" to avoid being a misnomer -- will include items like $2 burgers and pricier items like 20-piece chicken McNuggets at $5, according to a CBS affliliate in Dallas.
It will also include $1 items from the existing menu, like its hash browns, Sausage Biscuit, McDouble, McChicken and Vanilla Cone. The new menu replaces the Extra Value Menu, according to the L.A. Times, which had included items like Oreo and M&Ms McFlurrys and the Double Cheeseburger.
How do we feel about this? Will you order from McDonald's new Dollar Menu and More, or was it easier when everything was just a dollar?
