Meet the 10 New Members of Our iVoices Team!

The wait is finally over! We present to you the 10 newest iVoices

After countless essays, dozens of audition tapes and so many oh-so-tough decisions, we have finally picked the next 10 iVoices on iVillage.

We have not one but two dads joining our amazing group – the first is Jim Higley, a columnist for Chicago Tribune’s TribLocal and author of the book Bobblehead Dad.  Jim decided to become a SAHD after cancer, and called it the "Best. Decision. Ever."

The second is Adam Cohen, a dad blogger with a 3-year-old son who didn’t make the cut during our first search but didn’t give up because he says dads need a voice too. He was recently named the top dad blogger on a list by Klout.

Also in the mix is a 23-year-old active-duty Marine and mom-to-be, Frances Johnson. She’s fired a .50 cal machine gun from a helicopter and rappelled from a 5-story tower but says that the prospect of being a mom 'scares and excites' her more than anything else.

On the opposite end of the spectrum we have a seasoned mom in Dwan Perrin, a single mother of three. This lover of vampire romance novels became a mother at 15 and is very passionate about teenage pregnancy prevention.

Then there’s Raven Santana. 25-years-old and single, Raven is a daughter, niece, friend, sister, and aspiring broadcast reporter who is looking forward to sharing the stories of the amazing women she’s surrounded by. Something no one knows about her – she’s a Red Sox fan living in NY!

Blogger and mom of three, Amanda Rodriguez calls herself "The Dumb Mom" on her blog and wants to encourage moms everywhere to 'up their awesome', not only for their kids but for themselves as well! Amanda is very passionate about helping girls and women feel better about themselves, and was recently a contestant on the show What Not To Wear.

Linda Sellers is a divorced mother of three who's turning 50 and is preparing to downsize after her youngest goes to college, her oldest "gets a real job" and her middle son – "well, he's a work in progress," she says. She also has a very sweet guilty pleasure: a monthly auto-shipment of Chocolate Twizzlers!

Our second Linda of the group, Linda Rihani, hails from the Netherlands and is a mompreneur who owns and operates a prenatal ultrasound facility. As her business grew, so did the number of new moms seeking her advice on which baby products to buy and that's how BabyToBe.TV was born. Her no-longer-so-secret obsession? Britney Spears!

Known as "Jenny from the Blog" on her award-winning blog, Jenny Isenman has contributed to many women’s sites on mom/parenting/lifestyle issues. She loves reality television and giving tips on such popular struggles as getting husbands to put their dishes in the sink!

Finally, we have Lindsay Ferrier, a popular author of the widely read blog Suburban Turmoil. She’s a mom to a 4 and 7-year-old and a full-time stepmom to 18 and 20-year-olds, which means she’s been at the whole parenting thing for nearly 10 years.
