Megan Fox: I Only Gained 23 Pounds While Pregnant

The new mom explains that she's in no rush to lose what little weight she gained while pregnant with her son

It's been less than three months since Megan Fox gave birth, and the actress is already looking great. But unlike some other celebrities, Fox didn't dramatically drop a ton of weight. Instead, she says she just didn't put on much to begin with.

The new mom and her husband, Brian Austin Green, welcomed son Noah on Sept. 27 -- and she tells The Daily Mirror that she's not stressed about losing what little weight she did put on.

"I only gained 23 pounds when I was pregnant and I'm still 10 pounds heavier, but I don't want to kill myself trying to get back into shape because it's not a priority right now," she says. "I'm too in love with Noah and I don't want to be away from him. I just want to be home."

That means that Fox, 26, is likely around the same weight she was when she filmed the Transformers movies, as director Michael Bay revealed that he forced her to put on 10 pounds for that role. She has admitted in the past that she has difficulties gaining weight, so she might want to cling to this weight as much as possible. Still, it's impressive that she only gained 23 pounds during the length of her pregnancy.

Fox also says that life as a mother isn't as easy as it may be for some other famous mothers. She admits that she's decided not to have a nanny and has worked harder because of it.

"Having an infant is difficult. It's a lot of work and I didn't hire any help because I overestimated my own abilities. I had no idea how difficult babies could be, so Brian and I were exhausted," she says. "You never sleep and you're awake all night and your entire life is devoted to this little thing that needs you constantly. And I love it. It's what I've wanted to do since I was a little girl."

She continues, "I always wanted to mother things and I constantly had a doll I was taking care of. I don't receive the same satisfaction from my career as I do from being a mother so I'm really happy. But two weeks ago I said to Brian, 'We have to get a night nurse or we're going to get a divorce because someone's got to sleep in this house or we're going to kill each other.'"
