Megan Fox is widely considered to be one of the sexiest women in Hollywood right now, but she wants you to know she's not a glamazon who's always looking hot and looking to be seen in the hottest of hot spots.
Take last night's sit-down on The Tonight Show with Conan O'Brien. Fox took pains to paint a picture of herself that's at odds with the usual sexy starlet persona: she's a nerd with a hankering for a vintage Teenage Mutant Ninjas T-Shirt, Olive Garden, Krispy Kreme donuts, Outback Steakhouse and, most of all, Red Lobster. Oh, and she has a serious fear of public speaking that's got her all freaked out to be the host of the season premiere of Saturday Night Live.
Now the thing is, maybe she really is just an average girl who likes "guys who are really smart and funny," and enjoys the trappings of suburban Burbank, but her chat with Conan seemed orchestrated to portray this down-home image. Here's why: most talk shows have a pre-interview wherein a celebrity gets to lay out in advance the topics she'd like to discuss in the TV interview. And judging from Conan's line of questioning on Thursday night's show, it seemed like she was set on coming off as normal gal who has a fear of flying and being the center of attention.
That's not to say the appearance was without its appeals to the straight-male contingent in The Tonight Show's viewership. The clip from Jennifer's Body they chose to air was of the kissing scene with costar Amanda Seyfried. It was steamy to say the least, and likely to stir the hormones of any red-blooded heterosexual male.
But hey, that's just one opinion.
