RadarOnline.com has obtained an email (still unverified in court) that Gibson, 54, apparently sent to Grigorieva, 40, on the morning following their alleged Jan. 6 altercation -- reportedly, a violent assault which left her with a bruised eye and damaged teeth.
"How’s your tooth?" Gibson allegedly asks, via email, at 8:38 a.m. on Jan. 7. He allegedly followed up in a 9:50 a.m. email: "Could you please call me. I want to tell you how unspeakably sorry I am."
The emails purportedly arrived before the infamous texts leaked to the press, in which Gibson begs for forgiveness ("Oksana, I wasn't safe for you last night"). But the emails could support the domestic violence allegations against Gibson -- accusations which his lawyers have vehemently denied.
Authorities have collected these emails as evidence (as well as letters he allegedly sent) and the "correspondence could be crucial in the three investigations into the situation because it can be used to prove Mel knew he damaged Oksana’s tooth," according to Radar.
Following the correspondence, the mother of Gibson's infant daughter visited her physician on Jan. 8 and was diagnosed with a concussion. “Even after this incident, Oksana was still in love with Mel,” a source tells RadarOnline.com by way of explaining why she didn't blow the whistle on her famous boyfriend immediately, adding, "They were still together... She didn’t want to call the police."
