Mel Gibson's affair with Russian pianist Oksana Grigorieva began as a scandal, and ended as a much, much bigger one. In April 2009, the actor-director left Robyn, his wife of 26 years, for Grigorieva; just six months after the Gibsons filed for divorce, Grigorieva gave birth to Mel's daughter Lucia. Six months later, the relationship ended -- and the fight over Lucia (pictured in January) began. Trying to prove that Mel was an unfit parent, Oksana's camp told the media that he had punched his ex in the face and broken her teeth while she was holding their baby. Then shocking audio tapes of Gibson verbally abusing Grigorieva -- along with damning text messages, letters and emails from Mel -- started to leak online. Gibson's camp accused Oksana of extortion. Then we learned that Grigorieva had already signed a settlement with Mel (pictured in January), agreeing to collect $15 million in exchange for destroying those audio tapes. Suddenly, neither of them was looking so innocent.
