Mel Gibson's Love Letters to Oksana: Sweet or Creepy?

In his alleged love notes, the actor offers Oksana "smoocherinos" and says their love "is kinda like war"

Oksana Grigorieva has brought a new weapon into her custody battle against Mel Gibson: his love letters to her. TMZ has obtained love notes that Gibson's ex-girlfriend submitted to the court, as evidence of Gibson's unstable personality.

The seven pages of letters printed by TMZ had us feeling some mixed reactions. On the one hand, many of the excerpts seem like sweet, normal love notes, the kind people write when they're in the obsessive early stages of a relationship. On the other hand, given Grigorieva's allegations against Gibson, some lines seem to hint at dangerous obsession. Let us show you what we mean with some choice excerpts. (And please note: all weird spellings are entirely Mel's doing).

The sweet parts:
"Hope ur day is filled with cool and fulfilling happenings."
"Smoocherinos all over you! Rock on my queen!"
"When one sees qualities in others that they wish they had it draws them. So it is with me to you. I learned something more of you that is unspeakably beautiful and heroic. And I can only be more in love with you."

The creepy parts:
"This kinda love is like war."
"A simple response from u would fill me! I know its getting late there + u need ur rest! But if u r up call me my dark eyed beautiful little Communist!"
"Haven't eaten a thing since u left... I should eat b4 I see u ok u may not b safe."
"I love u madly as you can prolly tell by the extent to which fear of losing u can make me irrational. Thank your being gracious... and forgiving."
"You conquered the monster in me."

Okay, so maybe there are more creepy parts than cute parts. Still, we're not sure these letters actually prove anything. The parts where Gibson says he's irrational and monstrous could be about anything, from a violent blow-up to or a simple misunderstanding. We think Oksana will need something more concrete if she wants to establish Mel as an unfit father. But what do you think?
