Apparently The Bachelor, The Bachelorette, and even a video game based on the franchise, simply don't add up to enough quests for love on ABC. People reports that the network is prepping a Bachelor spin-off called Bachelor Pad, in which former contestants -- you guessed it -- live together!
While there's no word yet on which bachelors and bachelorettes will appear on the show ("some of the most unforgettable contestants and suitors" are promised), affable series staple Chris Harrison will fulfill his usual hosting duties, alongside season 13's Melissa Rycroft.
Rycroft, 27 (who is no longer looking for love since marrying Tye Strickland in December), says she looks forward to taking on the role of cohost. She tells People: "It’s a brand new experience for me. I’ve never been on that side, but I’m anxious. I’m excited and ready to start.”
Bachelor Pad, which is scheduled to air on August 8, has already begun filming and will feature the cast living together, competing in a series of challenges and dates for a chance at winning $250,000 and finding everlasting love. Ah, romance!
