Take that, Jason Mesnick! After being dumped on national television by the former Bachelor, Melissa Rycroft has gotten the sweetest revenge. The 26-year-old beauty became a Mrs. this weekend, when she and boyfriend Tye Strickland tied the knot on Saturday in Mexico.
According to UsMagazine.com, the couple said their "I dos" at sunset, in a ceremony attended by family and friends at a home on Isla Mujeres, a small island near Cancun. The former Dallas Cowboys cheerleader wore a strapless Alfred Angelo gown and no shoes, and was walked down the aisle by her dad. The couple's attendants were decked out for an island wedding as well, as the bridesmaids wore salmon-colored dresses and carried bouquets of orange roses, while the groomsman rocked mint green button-down shirts and khaki trousers.
Melissa bounced back from being publicly scorned by Jason Mesnick, who chose her on The Bachelor finale then changed his mind and went with finalist Molly Malaney. Since moving on from Jason, Melissa tore up the floor on Dancing With the Stars, got a gig with Good Morning America, and now, has snagged herself a husband. Just more proof that when one door closes another (at least!) opens.
