Sources confirm that Laura Leighton will be back playing the role of Sydney in The CW's remake of the Spelling goodness -- even though we all thought she died in a car wreck in season 5.
"It was a near-fatal accident. You never actually saw her dead," said an insider.
Which explains, of course, how Syd is now the landlord of that cute little Melrose cul-de-sac.
