Menstrual-Like Cramps: Could I Be Pregnant?
Could my girlfriend be pregnant and still have her usual menstrual symptoms -- cramps (although she says that they are not as long as usual) and sore breasts? She isn't bleeding.

It is very common to "feel" like you're going to get a period and yet not get one and be pregnant. The hormones of early pregnancy often give women this sensation.
If your partner is just due, or overdue, she should make an appointment for a pregnancy test and an exam. If it is negative, she could start on a reliable birth-control method; if it is positive, counseling can be done.
It is possible that ovulation was delayed for some reason this month and she is yet to get her period. I hope it works out the way you want it to.
