Two of our favorite leading ladies, Meryl Streep and Tina Fey, are finally coming together for a movie, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The Julie & Julia star and 30 Rock funny lady will join forces to play mother and daughter in a new comedy, directed by Stanley Tucci, called Mommy & Me.
So far no plot details have been released, but it's being reported that the movie will explore "the thorny and funny sides of mother-daughter relationships." Thorny and funny? These two will knock it out of the park.
It may be the first time Streep teams up on a project with Fey, but the acclaimed movie star will be reuniting with her Julia costar, Tucci -- the Oscar-nominated actor-director who was previously behind the camera to co-direct another family-themed film, the 1996 critical darling Big Night (in which he played brother to Tony Shalhoub).
Streep, 61, embraced light-hearted fare in 2009's dramedy hit It's Complicated, while Fey, 40, appeared on the big screen opposite Steve Carell for April's comic caper Date Night.
