With three Oscars and 17 nominations, Meryl Streep -- who received a B.A. from Vassar and earned a Masters in Fine Arts from Yale -- is said to be the most successful actress of all time. But her professors at the prestigious Yale School of Drama weren't so sure that Streep (pictured at a Vassar graduation ceremony in May 2010) had what it takes to make it. "They almost kicked me out of Yale," Streep says in "Actors at Work," according to the New York Daily News. "They said, 'You don't have the requisite ambition. You don't want it hard enough…' It was a fair criticism. But I didn't think I needed it, necessarily, to be an actor and a happy person."
