Kellogg has issued a voluntary recall of 2.8 million packages of Frosted Mini-Wheats Bite Size Original and Mini-Wheats Unfrosted Bite Size due to the possibility of metal mesh fragments in the cereal. According to the Wall Street Journal, the company said the contamination was due to a "faulty manufacturing part."
The recalled products vary in size, and contain the letters KB, AP or FK before or after the "Best If Used Before" date. Use by dates range from April 1, 2013 to Sept. 21, 2013. Full details can be found on the FDA's web site.
