Just call Michael Bolton "Poppy!" The 56-year-old began a new chapter in his life this week, when his daughter Taryn gave birth to his first grandchild, a girl.
"A profound and indescribable joy has been delivered to my heart and to our entire family," Bolton told People.com of the blessed event.
A dad to three daughters himself, the former Dancing With the Stars contestant says being referred to as someone's grandpa might take a little getting used to.
"It's so weird," he says. "I'm going to have to figure out how to own that."
It might take some time for the singer to feel comfortable though, considering he recently admitted that he feels like his own kids are still babies! "It's exciting," Bolton said in June of the news that he was going to be a grandfather. "But it's also surreal -- I still think of them as six, eight and 10. They still get embarrassed by me joking around."
