Michael C. Hall Wins Globe While Beating Cancer

Just four days after announcing he has been undergoing treatment for Hodgkin's lymphoma, Dexter star Michael C. Hall attended the Golden Globe Awards, and took home the statue for best actor in a TV drama.

Hall did not mention his condition in his acceptance speech but did address his cancer off the stage: "It's nice to see colleagues, and for me to show [people] I am doing fine."

The actor revealed that he hadn't intended on going public about his health, but felt he had no choice. "I had every intention of keeping it quiet, but because award shows were imminent, I had to make a statement," Michael said, adding that it was nice to be able to get the word out when his prognosis was good.
