Michael Cera, Arrested Development wunderkind and star of 2007's Juno and Superbad, has been in the public eye this week promoting the indie comedy Youth in Revolt (opening Friday), in which he plays a shy teen who adopts a rebellious alter ego named Francois. It's not unheard of for actors with quirky little films to go to great lengths for publicity -- and Cera seems intent on enjoying himself while playing the game. Check out some of his antics so far:

He joined the cast of Jersey Shore. And he has the hair gel to prove it! In a P.R. stunt photographed for PEOPLE magazine, Cera got cuddly with Snooki, had his hair did by Pauly D. and chilled out in a hot tub with Vinny and J-Woww.

He "partied" on camera. In a just-released music video by the Canadian band Islands, Cera swallows a handful of glowing pills and hallucinates a trippy disco scene, complete with a guardian angel dressed like Elvis.

He confessed that he likes wearing dresses. "I was doing a scene with just boxers on before that," said the coy actor about his Youth in Revolt wardrobe, "so it was just nice to not have people see me as much. That's why it was so comfortable."

He spilled secrets about his violent past. During a Letterman appearance, Cera showed a clip of himself at age 10 on the TV series La Femme Nikita, on which he played an evil child who murdered people with his mind.

If any of these publicity stunts tickled you, check out the official web site for Youth In Revolt. Michael Cera will thank you (in his new Ed Hardy shirt).
