Artist of the Decade



Jackson closed out the '80s by being named the "King of Pop, Rock and Soul" by his friend and fellow humanitarian Elizabeth Taylor. The moniker from Taylor came during a 1989 reception in which Jackson was invited to the White House by George Bush Sr. and was presented with the Artist of the Decade award.
