Fans had to wait five years for Jackson's 1987 Thriller follow-up, and the result was Bad. The album was actually considered quite good by fans and critics, though it didn't match the success of Thriller. Still, the album—boosted by singles "Bad," "The Man in the Mirror" and "I Just Can't Stop Loving You"—went on to sell more than 25 million copies and led to an international tour that was seen by more than four million people and earned Jackson more than $125 million. And, despite his recent tabloid presence, the tour also enhanced his reputation as a humanitarian, as he made donations to charities around the globe while on tour and invited underprivileged children to attend the shows for free.
