Despite pressing financial woes that reportedly continue today, Jackson has so far avoided completely losing Neverland, and in February 2008, released the double album Thriller 25, marking the anniversary of his seminal recording. The album included contributions from Kanye West, Fergie and will.i.am, though notably absent were self-professed Jackson fans Justin Timberlake and Chris Brown. The album failed to produce major hits in the U.S., though Jackson will celebrate his 50th birthday (Aug. 29) with the international release of King of Pop, another greatest hits compilation disc.
