February 1984 was a better month for Jackson, though his date—make that dates—for the 26th annual Grammy Awards would, in hindsight, be the kick-off of the rumors about his frequently strange behavior. On his arms as he attended the ceremony where he'd nab eight Grammys: Brooke Shields and pint-sized Emmanuel Lewis, a.k.a. TV's Webster.
