Heal the World

In 1992, Jackson started the Heal the World Foundation, in an effort to funnel money to underprivileged and sick children around the globe. All profits from his Dangerous world tour, as well as the $20 million he earned for selling the broadcast rights for the tour to HBO, were given to Heal the World. Jackson, like his pal Elizabeth Taylor, also began to be a vocal AIDS activist, and was even named a king by an Ivory Coast tribal chief as recognition for his humanitarian efforts.
