Michael Lohan just doesn't know how to play nice. The Associated Press reports that for the second time this year, the 51-year-old father of Lindsay Lohan has been arrested on charges of domestic abuse directed at his on-off girlfriend, 28-year-old Kathryn Major.
According to police, Lohan grabbed Major's arms and threw her to the ground multiple times during a daylong argument at Major's Tampa, Fla., condominium.
"She had some redness on her arms, some minor bruising and it was determined that he grabbed her arm and threw her to the ground a couple of times," police spokeswoman Andrea Davis told AP.
Tampa police arrested Lohan early Tuesday morning after responding to a domestic violence phone call made by Major. He was placed in custody, but complained of chest pains and was taken to St. Joseph's Hospital. A short time later, police say, he attempted to check himself out and leave unnoticed -- but was promptly detained. Police then transported Lohan to the Hillsborough County Orient Road Jail, where he was being held without bail.
According to Radar Online, Major says Lohan attacked her after they argued about the fact that she would not perform oral sex on him. She also claims that he hurled a remote control at her but missed, and threatened to throw her off the balcony.
According to police, the pair had already been scheduled to appear in court in nearby Sarasota County on Tuesday for a hearing tied to a previous domestic violence case. That would be for an event that occurred in March of this year, when Lohan was arrested in Los Angeles after Major filed a police report saying that Lohan hit her. According to TMZ, Major filed a petition for a protective order against Lohan earlier this month -- and the hearing Tuesday was to determine whether to make that order permanent.
Domestic abuse seems to be a pattern in Lohan and Major's tumultuous relationship. Back in July 2010, Major (who was engaged to Lohan at the time) filed a police claim that Michael had shoved her over a chair and kicked her in the face. He admitted they had gotten into an argument, but denied that he had touched her.
Major tells police that she intendes to press charges stemming from this latest altercation.
