Poor Lindsay! Michael Lohan Goes Crazy at Press Conference

Michael Lohan wants daughter Lindsay Lohan to clean up her act. So he did what any concerned parent would do: held a press conference at his attorney's office to demand that she enter rehab. Think that sounds a little crazy? Wait until you see what happened next.

Papa Lohan, 49, held his ill-advised press conference on Tuesday afternoon inside a Long Island, New York, legal firm and told the gathered reporters he was "reaching out" to Lindsay in hopes that she'll stop using drugs. "I'm not going to let this happen anymore," he said, mentioning the deaths of Brittany Murphy and DJ AM. Lohan recommended his daughter fly back East to enter a Long Island rehab center and said he was prepared to fly to Los Angeles and escort her personally. "I don't care what she thinks of me," he declared. "She may hate me now but she'll love me later."

But then the inevitable happened: Michael Lohan exploded. A wily reporter read him a statement issued by Lindsay's mom Dina Lohan, saying that Michael was using Lindsays' problem as a diversion from his own deadbeat ways. "I have a criminal protective order against him 'til 2011," Dina told the press. "He's 1 year behind in child support." This sparked a volatile two-minute rant from Michael, in which he threatened Dina's lawyer, claimed he'd paid child support "off the books," and hurled accusations against Dina's family that involved everything from crack-smoking to 9/11. So much for the "caring dad" act.

Did we mention that Michael is trying to get his own reality show? And Dina is hocking toothbrushes? Meanwhile, Lindsay, 23, reportedly continues to party so hard that she passes out and stumbles on sidewalks. It's clear that this whole family needs an intervention!
