We know, we can't believe it either.
Lindsay Lohan's father, Michael Lohan, has announced that he is engaged to entertainment reporter -- and former Jon Gosselin fling -- Kate Major.
If you remember, Major was the Star reporter who quit her job after falling for Gosselin while interviewing him. The two briefly dated, but the romance ended in a nasty split.
Now, it looks like Major has found happiness with Gosselin's buddy Lohan. The two began dating in January, and Major, 27, tells People that they are already moving forward with wedding plans.
"I've already talked to some of the bridesmaids, and it will probably be in New York, probably at the end of this year," she said.
Lohan, who turns 50 on April 25, spent Easter weekend in the Sunshine State with Major and her father, where Lohan asked for his love's hand in marriage.
"I'm very traditional, so I wanted him to talk to my father," Major says. "Michael went down with me to Florida for Easter, to meet my father to ask for his permission, and my father gave his blessing."
"I'm ecstatic," she said of the engagement. "I'm very happy. Michael and I have known each other for four years, and it's meant to be."
"I'm ecstatic," Lohan echoed. "I've never met anyone who's been there for me like Kate. She's always been there for me. The one thing about Kate is that she doesn't come with baggage."
As for the 23-year age difference, Major says, "It's never been an issue."
No word on if Lindsay will be calling Kate "Mommy" anytime soon.
