And baby makes 19!
The Duggar family of TLC’s 18 Kids and Counting announced on the TODAY show to host Meredith Vieira this morning that they are expecting their 19th child.
“We are thrilled to announce that we found out we’re expecting our 19th child,” said Michelle Duggar who made the announcement with husband, Jim Bob, and their 18 children.
Michelle is nearly three months pregnant and the household will have another young one on the way as well.
Michelle and Jim Bob are going to be grandparents in October as their 21-year-old son Joshua and wife Anna are expecting their first child.
Just to put in perspective how remarkable having 19 children is, the TODAY show staff did the math and figured out Duggar has been pregnant for more than 12 years of her life.
“I’m feeling sick and tired, which is a good way to be feeling about right now,” said Duggar. “I always tell myself that’s a good way to be, because that means good things are happening.”
Nineteen children wasn’t the original plan for Jim Bob and Michelle. The couple thought they would have two or three children. After a miscarriage from taking the pill, the Christian family decided to let God decide on the number of children the family would have.
What makes the Duggar story even more remarkable is the fact that they feed their entire family on less than $2,000 a month and are debt-free.
Not only could we learn a thing or two about parenting but a few financial tips as well in this tough economy.
