Move over, Countess LuAnn de Lesseps, you aren't the only reality star trying to break into the music scene with a new single. It seems Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino of the MTV hit series Jersey Shore is now trying to make a name for himself as a rapper.
While this preview clip of the single -- titled, you guessed it, "The Situation" -- is online now, hold on to your hair gel because the official single won't hit iTunes until next week. The track is a collaboration with Fatman Scoop (a Grammy winner), DJ Class and The Disco Fries, and it certainly sounds tailor-made for the very clubs that 'The Situation' would find himself fist-pumping in till the wee hours.
There's no shortage of Sorrentino blasting his nickname throughout the tune, as it features repeated soundbites of, "Whoa, we got a situation!" The 30-second snippet has some additional name-dropping ("You ready to go?/You ready to party?/You ready to drink?/ Now what's your name?/Gucci, Prada, Christian Dior, LAX, and Jersey Shore") but just like poor Countess LuAnn (about whom 90 percent of our readers thought had an even more embarrassing recording debut than fellow Real Housewives star Kim Zolciak), this is one reality star who might be better off getting attention in front of TV cameras instead of trying to rock a mic. Give "The Situation" a listen and then take our poll!
