Snooki and Ronnie have already had run-ins with the cops while filming MTV's Jersey Shore, but Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino has managed to stay out of any legal trouble. But that wasn't the case a few years ago.
Perez Hilton reports that in 2003, Sorrentino was stopped by police while driving in his hometown of Manalapan, N.J., for having an expired registration. But when cops got a good look in the Dancing with the Stars newbie's car, they found a whole lot more going on. It seems that, in addition to having "unclear plates" and driving with a suspended license, The Sitch had a stash of marijuana in the vehicle, plus a "glass pipe full of burnt weed."
Sorrentino plead not guilty and the charges were dropped, but he was put on probation for one year with mandatory drug testing throughout that period, and was ordered to pay $810 in court costs.
It seems like Sorrentino has come along way since his run-in with the law. But, with his new celebrity status and tons money just rolling in, we hope he manages to keep his head on straight.
