If you think Miley Cyrus' latest music video is a little too mature, you're not alone! Last week, we asked readers if they felt the teen star's video for "Who Owns My Heart" was too sexy -- and 61 percent responded with a "yes"!
Now the clip, which features 17-year-old Cyrus partying, rolling around in bed and dancing with guys, is being criticized by the Parents Television Council -- a group which describes itself as "a non-partisan education organization advocating responsible entertainment."
Tim Winter, the President of the PTC, talked to TMZ.com about their issues with the Cyrus video. "It is unfortunate that she would participate in such a sexualized video like this one," he said. "It sends messages to her fan base that are diametrically opposed to everything she has done up to this point. Miley built her fame and fortune entirely on the backs of young girls, and it saddens us that she seems so eager to distance herself from that fan base so rapidly."
In addition to Mileygate, the PTC has also raised concerns about the show $#*! My Dad Says, the Britney Spears-themed episode of Glee, and Adam Lambert's risque performance at the 2009 American Music Awards.
Most notably, after her now-infamous pole dance on the 2009 Teen Choice Awards, her dad Billy Ray Cyrus stuck up for her. "You know what? I just think that Miley loves entertaining people," he told Access Hollywood at the time.
